What is AOP?
AOP is a solution for the treatment of heavy and toxic wastewater that can no longer be treated with ordinary biological systems.
AOP is a wastewater treatment technology with a chemical process designed to reduce organic content in water with an oxidation method utilizing the "strongest oxidizer", namely Hydroxyl radicals (OHo).
AOP utilizes OH radicals by combining three types of oxidants, namely Ozone (O3), Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) and ultraviolet (UV), and will destroy / decompose almost all pollutants in wastewater.
What conditions require AOP?
- Wastewater with a very high pollution load and can no longer be treated with conventional and biological systems in general
- Wastewater is non-biodegradable, characterized by a COD and BOD ratio of <30%
- The processing time is very long and the land requirement for the processing unit is very large so that it requires very high costs
