WWTP and WTP Assessment of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Companies in Sulawesi

WWTP / WTP Assessment of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Companies at Batui Banggai, Central Sulawesi

What is WWTP/WTP Assessment?

WWTP / WTP assessment involves evaluating the whole WWTP / WTP system, include equipments, process flow, operating hours, structures, earthquake resistance, and others, in order to obtain a valid assessment.

The WWTP / WTP assessment must be evaluated by professional experts. Evaluation must be adjusted to K3 standards and applicable water quality standards.

Why is the WWTP/WTP Assessment so important?

Components in the existing WWTP / WTP system can decreased functionally. Some changes can also affect system performance, such as changes in the number of people / employees, changes in capacity, changes in schedules, changes in paths, etc.

With the data obtained from the evaluation, it will be seen whether the system is still efficient, or the equipment is still feasible, or the outlets are still in accordance with the quality standards, or which components need to be repaired or added, etc.

The results of the WWTP or WTP assessment will become a very important decision support to determine whether the WWTP / WTP system needs to be upgraded, or even needs to be made anew.

WWTP / WTP users generally expect efficiency in the use of electricity or chemicals in WWTP / WTP. And for large-scale systems, the difference in impact and numbers will be very obvious.

When is the right time to do WWTP / WTP Assessment?

There is no specific reference when the assessment should be carried out. However, if we take the reference from ME (Mechanical Electrical), the life and performance of the engine will decrease within 5 years. This factor can be one of the considerations to determine when is the right time to do WWTP / WTP  assessment.

Another consideration is when the user or operator finds a problem with the WWTP / WTP system. Or there are significant changes that affect the performance of the system, treatment process or wastewater distribution process.

Scope of Work on WWTP / WTP Assessment

The activities that are usually carried out in the WWTP assessment include:

  • Evaluation of WWT Layouts
  • Evaluation of existing WWT designs
  • Water quality standards according to government regulations
  • Tank inspection, Internal and external structure
  • OHS Inspection
  • Concrete and soil test
  • Piping and drainage test
  • Etc
