HEPA Filter H14 with Gel Seal for Ultimate Air Purity & Leak-Proof Performance
The HEPA Filter H14 delivers premium-grade air filtration with ≥99.995% efficiency at 0.3 microns (EN 1822 certified). It excels at removing ultra-fine dust, bacteria, viruses, pollen, and all microscopic contaminants. The in-channel Gel Seal technology makes it the preferred choice for critical applications where even the smallest air bypass is unacceptable.
With an 610 x 915 x 73 mm size, this filter offers significantly more media surface area, making it well-suited for large AHU/FFU systems requiring high airflow capacity. The combination of high-quality microglass fiber media, anodized aluminium profile frame, advanced gel seal, and robust protection grids ensures reliable, long-lasting performance in sterile and controlled environments.
Recommended Filtration Stage Sequence in HVAC / Cleanroom Systems
In HVAC or cleanroom setups, HEPA H14 is positioned as the final filtration stage to achieve maximum purity. The recommended sequence is:
- Pre-filter (G4) – captures large particles and coarse dust, protecting downstream filters and extending their lifespan
- Medium / Secondary filter (F7 / F8 / F9) – removes medium to fine particles that pass the pre-filter, reducing the load on the HEPA
- HEPA Filter H14 – final stage, captures ultra-fine particles, bacteria, and viruses
This staged approach optimizes energy efficiency, extends HEPA service life, and maintains overall system performance.
How to Install Gel Seal HEPA Filter
- Ensure the housing, plenum, or terminal is completely clean and free of dust before installation.
- Check the knife-edge (sealing blade) on the housing – it must be clean and undamaged.
- Carefully remove the old filter (wear gloves and proper protective equipment).
- Install the new filter: align the gel seal channel to the downstream side, gently lower until the knife-edge enters the gel. The gel will form an automatic, self-healing seal.
- Confirm the filter is seated flat and square – do not force it.
- Perform a leak test (DOP / PAO) immediately after installation to verify zero leakage. Note: Installation should be carried out by trained personnel in a clean environment.
When to Replace the HEPA Filter
Replace the filter when:
- Final pressure drop reaches or exceeds 600 Pa (typically 1.5–2× initial pressure drop)
- Differential pressure increases significantly → causing higher fan load and energy consumption
- Leak test (DOP/PAO) fails (mandatory testing every 6–12 months per ISO/GMP standards)
- Average service life of 1–3 years is reached (depending on dust load, pre-filter quality, and operating conditions)
Monitor differential pressure regularly. Replace earlier if air quality or energy efficiency is a priority.
