Key Advantages

  • Exceptional H14 efficiency – removes ≥99.995% of particles at the most penetrating size, perfect for ultra-sensitive environments
  • In-channel Gel Seal – creates a superior, self-healing airtight seal with virtually no bypass leakage
  • Standard 610 x 610 mm size – versatile for most AHU, FFU, and terminal applications with high airflow capacity
  • Anodized aluminium frame – lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and durable
  • Dual-sided painted aluminium grids – protect the media from physical damage during handling and service
  • Easy installation with ±10 mm tolerance – fits well in slightly varying housings

Applications

This filter is ideal for critical environments requiring the highest air purity:

  • Air conditioning systems in hospitals, operating theaters, isolation rooms, and healthcare facilities
  • Laboratories for research, pharmaceuticals, and microbiology
  • Museums and cultural sites to protect artifacts from airborne contaminants
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing – sterile zones free from cross-contamination
  • Food & beverage processing – strict hygiene compliance
  • Microelectronics, semiconductors, and high-ISO cleanrooms

HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters are the gold standard in air purification, designed to capture extremely fine particles that ordinary filters cannot. Classified under the European standard EN 1822, a H14 filter must achieve at least 99.995% efficiency against the Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS, typically 0.1–0.3 microns), making it essential for removing bacteria, viruses, fine dust, pollen, and microscopic contaminants in critical settings.

The HEPA Filter H14 brings this level of performance in a compact 610 x 610 x 73 mm format, equipped with premium microglass fiber media, an extruded anodized aluminium frame, hotmelt separators, and advanced in-channel Gel Seal for leak-proof integrity. This model excels in high-demand applications where even minimal air bypass is unacceptable, such as cleanrooms, pharmaceutical suites, hospitals, and sensitive industrial processes. The gel seal technology, combined with robust protection grids, ensures long-term reliability and easy integration into standard HVAC and FFU systems.

Filtration Stages in HVAC / Cleanroom Systems HEPA H14 is always the final stage in a multi-layer filtration system to achieve the highest purity. Typical sequence:

  1. Pre-filter (G4) – removes large dust and coarse particles, protecting subsequent filters and extending their life.
  2. Medium / Fine filter (F7–F9) – captures medium to fine particles, significantly reducing the load on the HEPA.
  3. HEPA H14 – final stage, eliminates ultra-fine particles, microbes, and aerosols.

This staged approach (common in ISO 14644 cleanrooms and GMP facilities) optimizes energy use, prolongs filter life, and maintains consistent airflow.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Clean the housing/plenum thoroughly before installation.
  2. Inspect the knife-edge/sealing surface for cleanliness and damage.
  3. Remove old filter carefully (use PPE).
  4. Install new filter: align gel channel to downstream side, lower gently until knife-edge embeds in gel for self-healing seal.
  5. Ensure proper seating and alignment.
  6. Perform DOP/PAO leak test post-installation. Installation should be done by trained personnel in a clean environment.

When to Replace the HEPA Filter

Replacement is based on performance rather than fixed time:

  • Final pressure drop reaches or exceeds 600 Pa (usually 1.5–2× initial drop) → increases fan energy use
  • Differential pressure rises sharply, affecting airflow or efficiency
  • Leak test (DOP/PAO) fails during periodic integrity checks (required every 6–12 months per ISO 14644-3 and GMP guidelines)
  • Typical lifespan 1–3 years (varies with dust load, pre-filter quality, and environment)
