New product
Biofilm Media used in MBBR system. Biofilm made of polypropylene plastic in the form of a small hollow cylinder with a diameter of about 10 to 25 mm.
MBBR biofilm media continues to move in the water and becomes a home for microorganisms to grow and develop, then COD/BOD levels will be reduced significantly.

What is MBBR?
Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is a biological wastewater treatment process that utilizes biofilm technology to decompose organic pollutants such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD). Unlike traditional methods, MBBR is designed to maximize efficiency by providing a large surface area for biofilm growth using a special medium called a carrier or biomedia made of small cylindrical polypropylene plastic with a diameter of about 10 to 25 mm with cavities. This carrier is suspended and continues to move in the reactor, allowing microorganisms to come into contact with wastewater, thereby improving the treatment process.
ADVANTAGES OF MBBR
• Very suitable for aquariums, fish farming management, shrimp farming (Aquaculture)
• Used in the MBBR (Moving Bed Bio Reactor) process for wastewater treatment, water treatment for clean water treatment, etc.
• Helps improve the quality of water that is rich in oxygen, optimally reduces COD, BOD, Ammonia, Sulfur TDS values, clearer water
• Minimizes sludge formation
• Saves land and saves operational costs
• Easy to use, no special treatment required, minimal maintenance can clean itself
PACKAGING
1 kg (+/- 1428 pcs)
MODEL
MBBR Media with 18 holes
SIZE
Φ25*4 mm (Diameter 25 mm, thickness 4 mm)
Surface area large enough for biofilm growth. The media structure is designed in such a way that it has grooves, holes, or cavities that increase the total surface area per unit volume
SURFACE AREA
Surface Area: >1600m2/m3
The surface area of the media per cubic meter is more than 1600 square meters. A large surface area is important to provide a place for microorganisms (biofilms) or bacteria to colonize and grow and process pollutants in wastewater
DENSITY
Density: 0.94 – 0.97 g/cm3
The density of the media ranges from 0.94 to 0.97 grams per cubic centimeter. This density indicates how heavy the media is per unit volume and affects the media's ability to float or sink in water
PACKING NUMBERS
Packing numbers: > 210000 pcs/m3
The number of media per cubic meter is more than 210,000 pieces. This indicates the number of media units required to fill one cubic meter of reactor, which is related to the total available surface area
DOSING RATIO
Dosing Ratio: 15% - 65%
The percentage of media filling in the reactor ranges from 15% to 65% of the total reactor volume. This dose depends on the specific needs of the treatment process and organic load
LIFE SPAN
Life Span: > 15 years
MBBR media life span is more than 15 years, the material has good resistance to various environmental conditions for a long period of time
NITRIFICATION EFFICIENCY
Nitrification Efficiency: 500 – 1400 gNH4-N/m3.d
The nitrification efficiency of the media ranges from 500 to 1400 grams of ammonia nitrogen (NH4-N) per cubic meter per day. MBBR Media It has good ammonia treatment capability, effectively converting ammonia to nitrate, which is an important step in the biological wastewater treatment process
MATERIAL
Material: HDPE. This MBBR media is made of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a plastic known for its strength, resistance to chemicals, and durability in various environmental conditions.
