Low-pH membrane cleaning is highly effective for removing inorganic scale or deposits from the membrane surface without causing damage.
Specially formulated to remove metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate, and other similar deposits from polyamide, polysulfone, and thin-film composite membranes.
Highly effective at ambient temperature
Surfactant-free and easily rinsed
Contains organic acid, detergent builders, and chelating agents
Appearance: Crystalline Powder
Taste: Acidic
Odor: Odorless
Solubility: Soluble in cold and hot water
Active over a wide pH range
Highly effective for both primary and wastewater treatment, flotation processes, and sludge dewatering
Easy to use and ready in liquid solution
Cost-effective
Provides faster coagulation for most particles
Suitable for use with all polyamide, polysulfone, and thin-film composite membranes. Can be used at temperatures from 15°C (60°F) up to the maximum recommended by the membrane manufacturer. Standard dilution ratio: 25 grams per liter of water.
Check the cleaning tank, hoses, and cartridge filter. Install new filter elements and fill the cleaning tank with RO permeate.
Slowly add 25 grams of AQUARIGHT MBC 3 per liter of cleaning tank capacity.
Mix the solution with a stirrer or circulate with a cleaning pump.
Solution may be heated to improve effectiveness.
Do not exceed the maximum temperature recommended by the membrane manufacturer.
Circulate the solution through the membrane in the feed flow direction for one hour at the flow rate recommended by the membrane/system manufacturer.
AQUARIGHT MBC 3: Removes scale from salts/minerals already formed
AQUARIGHT MBC 11: Removes organic fouling
AQUARIGHT ZF 100: Apply after cleaning to prevent scale reformation
