Key Advantages

  • H13 filtration delivers ≥99.95% particle capture at 0.3 microns – reliable for critical and controlled environments
  • Large extended format 610 x 1220 mm – provides greater media area for higher airflow and broader coverage in a single filter
  • Downstream endless polyurethane gasket ensures tight, dependable sealing with minimal leakage risk
  • Anodized aluminium profile frame – strong, corrosion-resistant, and easy to install or handle
  • Protection grids on both sides – offer full mechanical shielding for the filter media
  • Designed for consistent performance in demanding applications requiring clean air

Applications

This filter suits environments that require strict air quality management:

  • Air conditioning systems in hospitals, operating theaters, isolation rooms, and healthcare facilities
  • Laboratories for research, pharmaceuticals, and microbiology
  • Museums and cultural preservation sites to protect artifacts from dust and pollutants
  • Pharmaceutical production – maintaining contamination-free zones
  • Food & beverage processing – complying with rigorous hygiene standards
  • Microelectronics, semiconductor manufacturing, and cleanrooms

The HEPA Filter H13 provides excellent air purification with ≥99.95% efficiency at 0.3 microns (certified to EN 1822). It effectively removes fine dust, pollen, bacteria, viruses, and other microscopic contaminants. Featuring a large 610 x 1220 x 66 mm size, this model offers significantly more filter media surface area than standard units, making it ideal for high-volume airflow systems such as large AHUs or FFUs without requiring multiple smaller filters.

Built with high-quality microglass fiber media, anodized aluminium profile frame, downstream endless polyurethane gasket, and dual-sided protection grids, the HFN009 delivers stable, long-term performance in environments where air cleanliness is essential.

Recommended Filtration Stage Sequence in HVAC / Cleanroom Systems

In HVAC or cleanroom installations, HEPA H13 is usually placed as the final stage of filtration. The typical recommended sequence is:

  1. Pre-filter (G4) – traps large particles and coarse dust, safeguarding downstream filters and extending their service life
  2. Medium / Secondary filter (F7 / F8 / F9) – removes medium and fine particles that pass the pre-filter, reducing the load on the HEPA
  3. HEPA Filter H13 – final stage, captures ultra-fine particles, bacteria, and viruses

This layered approach improves energy efficiency, prolongs HEPA filter life, and maintains optimal system performance.

How to Install the HEPA Filter

  1. Clean the housing, plenum, or terminal thoroughly to remove any dust or residue before installation.
  2. Inspect the knife-edge or sealing surface on the housing (ensure it is clean and free of damage).
  3. Remove the old filter carefully (wear gloves and appropriate protective equipment).
  4. Position the new filter: align the downstream gasket side, lower it gently until it seats fully.
  5. Check that the filter is level and correctly aligned.
  6. Perform a leak test (DOP / PAO) immediately after installation to confirm airtight integrity. Note: Installation should be carried out by trained personnel in a controlled, clean environment.

When to Replace the HEPA Filter

Replace the filter when one or more of the following occurs:

  • Final pressure drop reaches or exceeds 600 Pa (generally 1.5–2× the initial pressure drop)
  • A notable increase in differential pressure leads to higher fan energy consumption
  • Leak test (DOP/PAO) results indicate failure (required testing every 6–12 months per ISO/GMP guidelines)
  • Average lifespan of 1–3 years is reached (depending on dust burden, pre-filter performance, and operating conditions)

Regularly monitor differential pressure and consider earlier replacement when air quality or energy savings are critical.
